INFORMATION MODELLING

Growth models are an excellent tool when attempting to better forecasting. Many areas within the Company usually take as a fact that a product launch means authomatic sales. Real life shows that selling is not as easy as forecasting. Usually it is needed to include some metrics (budget, advertising, resources, etc) in a model that allows the Company to anticipate results, and visualize them along time on a friendly interface. “S-curves” are a good example of this smooth growth, from zero to saturation.

What Snark suggest is to link main parameters in a mathematical model performed with Excel. This is easy to operate for Company personnel, allowing them to build several scenarios, manage deviations, link expenses with income, and eventually react to any unexpected change (i.e. Opex restrictions). As an additional benefit, all the areas involved begin to better understand the business. If necessary, this model can be implemented with a standard Change Management process, in order to keep all areas involved updated.
